Bio-Mycin 200 is a subcutaneous oxytetracycline – meaning it is injected just under the skin and does not cause the damage intramuscular injections do. IM injections often result in trimout, dropping the beef’s market price significantly. Bio-Mycin 200 controls a broad spectrum of problems including: pinkeye, pneumonia, footrot, diphtheria, scours, wooden tongue and infections from staph. and strep. organisms. WARNING: Discontinue treatment for at least 28 days prior to slaughter of cattle and swine.
CAUTION: When administered to cattle, muscle discoloration may necessitate trimming of the injection site(s) and surrounding tissues during the dressing procedure.
CAUTION: Store at controlled room temperature, 15-30 C (59-86 f) keep from freezing. Handle aseptically.br> SULFAINJ SULFADIMETHOXINE INJECTION-40 % Antibacterial
COMPOSITION: Each ml contains 400 mg sulfadimethoxine composed with 20 % propylene glycol, 1 % benzly alcohol (preservative), 0.1 mg disodium edetate, 1 mg sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate, and PH adjusted with sodium hydroxide.
INDICATIONS: CATTLE – for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease complex (shipping fever complex) and bacterial pneumonia associated with pasteurella spp. Sensitive to sulfadimethoxine ; necrotic pododermatitis ( Foot rot) and calf diphtheria caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum, sensitive to sulfadimethoxine.
DOSAGE: To be administered in amounts to provide 25 mg/lb (55 mg/kg) for initial dose, followed by 12.5 mg/lb (27.5 mg/kg) for maintenance doses every 24 hours. During treatment period, make certain animals maintain adequate water intake.
WARNING: Milk taken from animals during treatment and for 60 hours after the latest treatment must not be used for food. Do not administer within 5 days of slaughter. A withdrawal period has not yet been established for this product in preruminating calves.
