Vibrin is approved for the vaccination of healthy cows and heifers as an aid in preventing campylobacteriosis (vibriosis) caused by Campylobacter fetus. Vibriosis is a venereal desease of cattle that causes temporary infertility, delayed conception, irregular estrus, and occasional abortions. May be administered as early as 7 months prior to breeding, making it ideal for use at fall pregnancy check. Vibrin indicates that a single dose is effective and there is no advantage in using 2 injections. Administer 2 mL subcutaneously in the upper part of the neck. To avoid vaccination site trim-out, do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter.
