Escherichia Coli Bacterin is recommended for use in healthy dairy cattle as an aid in the control of Clinical signs associated with E. Coli mastitis. For effective mastitis control this product should be used in conjunction with acceptable good management practices. The Escherichia Coli Bacterin J-5 Strain delivers twice the protection against coliform mastitis. As the original J-5 strain bacterin, is proven in millions of doses, and is backed by the strongest investigative data package of any mastitis vaccine in the world. Its three-dose regimen stimulates the immune system for optimum immune response (including cell-mediated immunity) and greater control over endotoxin load.

Dosage/Administration

To protect cattle during the 100 days when coliform mastitis is most likely to occur, Shake well. Three doses are required Administer each 5 ml dose subcutaneously, one ine hand width cranial to the shoulder. Vaccinate cows or heifers at 7 and 8 months of gestation followed by the third dose within two weeks postpartum. The program should be repeated annually.

Precautions: Do Not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do Not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter. Local swelling occasionally occurs and may persist at the injection site. in case of anaphylactoid reactions, epinephrine should be administered immediately.
