Helps protect against: Scours caused by Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens type C\n
LitterGuard LT-C is the only vaccine that prevents attachment of E. coli bacteria to the intestinal lining and neutralizes scours-causing enterotoxins. In addition, LitterGuard LT-C aids in the control of Clostridium perfringens type C.\n
Unlike other scours vaccines that only control E. coli bacteria, LitterGuard LT-C with its heat-labile toxoid (LTb) stimulates protection against the enterotoxins that E. coli produce. Enterotoxins prevent nutrient absorption and increase fluid movement into the gut. LitterGuard LT-C is the only vaccine labeled to fight enterotoxins, making it the most complete E. coli protection you can buy.\n
Vaccinating sows and gilts prior to farrowing helps build antibodies against scours-causing diseases, which are provided to pigs via colostrum. Pigs are protected by passive immunity from four strains of E. coli (K99, K88, 987P and F41) and Clostridium perfringens type C, a sudden and often severe form of scours that can cause death within 12 hours.\n
