Improves the timing and efficiency of beef cow and heifer breeding programs when using Lutalyse Sterile solution. Provides tight estrous synchrony so animals come into heat in a narrow window. Provides an opportunity to induce a fertile estrus in non-cycling cows, hasten the onset of puberty in virgin heifers. A single insert intravaginally, will release progesterone during the seven-day treatment period. To assure satisfactory synchronization, an injection of Lutalyse must be given to all cattle one day before insert removal. Removal of the insert on treatment day seven results in a drop in plasma progesterone, triggering estrus within three days.

PRODUCT CODE AND NAME: Eazi-Breed CIDR Cattle Insert; 86435 Make Breeding Less of a Guess Successful breeding just got easier with new EAZI-BREE CIDR (progesterone) Cattle Insert. EAZI-BREED CIDR improves the timing and efficiency of any breeding program you're currently using. Indications, \tKey Features, \tPackaging, \tDosage/Administration, \tLactating Dairy Cows, \tHeifers .
DESCRIPTION: EAZI-BREED CIDR is indicated for synchronization of estrus in dairy heifers and for synchronization of return to estrus in lactating dairy cattle.
ADVANTAGES: Key Features Breeding programs using EAZI-BREED CIDR: Synchronize return to heat so groups of cows come into heat and can be bred in a narrow window Tighten estrous synchronization so groups of heifers come into heat and can be bred in a narrow window Induce fertile estrus, regardless of the stage of cycle Using EAZI-BREED CIDR results in: Higher pregnancy rate (PR), because more cows and heifers become pregnant at early breedings Easier and more accurate heat detection Improved value from semen and greater genetic gain, due to greater potential for successful artificial insemination (AI) More focused heat detection and easier AI breeding, since groups of cows and heifers come into heat and can be bred at approximately the same time Heifers freshening at a younger age Accurate breeding and calving dates of cows and heifers A more profitable dairy herd More cows becoming pregnant in the first two cycles after the voluntary waiting period Improved efficiencies in labor management
DIRECTIONS: Dosage/Administration EAZI-BREED CIDR is to be administered intravaginally, one per animal, in dairy cows and heifers of appropriate size and age. EAZI-BREED CIDR continuously releases progesterone. Upon removal of the insert seven days later, the drop in progesterone triggers estrus and ovulation.Lactating Dairy Cows EAZI-BREED CIDR breeding protocol for LACTATING ANIMALS using the FAST BACK Breeding Program. Use EAZI-BREED CIDR to synchronize return to estrus The FAST BACK Breeding Program is designed to utilize EAZI-BREED CIDR to synchronize those dairy cows that were inseminated but did not conceive and are returning to heat. By employing the FAST BACK Breeding Program, you can create a second synchronized heat and gain a better opportunity for heat detection, resulting in a higher pregnancy rate. FAST BACK Program using EAZI-BREED CIDR \t14 +1- days after first AI service, administer EAZI-BREED CIDR for seven days\tRemove EAZI-BREED CIDR seven days after administration (21 days after first AI service)\tDetect for heat during next four days\tBreed/Inseminate on detected heat DO NOT INJECT LUTALYSE (DINOPROST TROMETHAMINE) STERILE SOLUTION WHEN USING THE FAST BACK BREEDING PROGRAM. Heifers EAZI-BREED CIDR and LUTALYSE Breeding Protocol for Heifers To assure satisfactory synchronization, an injection of LUTALYSE must be given to all heifers one day before insert removal. Removal of the insert on treatment Day Seven results in a drop in plasma progesterone, triggering estrus within three days. Follow these simple steps: Administer EAZI-BREED CIDR Insert on Day 0 Inject LUTALYSE one day prior to the removal of EAZI-BREED CIDR Remove EAZI-BREED CIDR Insert on Day Seven Detect for heat during next four days Breed/Inseminate on detected heat When using LUTALYSE, as with all parenteral products, aseptic technique should be used to reduce the possibility of post-injection bacterial infections. Do not administer LUTALYSE in pregnant animals unless cessation of pregnancy is desired. Not for intravenous administration. Women of childbearing age and persons with respiratory problems should exercise extreme caution when handling LUTALYSE.
PRECAUTIONS: Human Warning: Wear latex gloves when handling the inserts. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.Environmental Warning: Store removed Eazi-Breed CIDR Cattle inserts in a plastic bag or other sealable container until they can be properly disposed in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.Do Not Use:1.\tIn animals with abnormal, immature or infected genital tracts.2.\tIn beef cows that are less than 20 days postpartum.3.\tIn beef or dairy heifers of insufficient size or age for breeding.4.\tAn insert more than once. To prevent the potential transmission of venereal and blood-borne diseases, the Eazi-Breed CIDR Cattle Insert should be disposed after a single use. When Using This Product:1.\tYou must use the Eazi-Breed CIDR Cattle Insert concurrently with an injection of 5 mL of Lutalyse Sterile Solution (equivalent to 5 mg/mL dinoprost) administered on day 6 of the 7-day administration period to assure maximum effectiveness.2.\tIn animals that respond to treatment, the onset of estrus generally occurs within 1 to 3 days after removal of the Eazi-Breed CIDR Cattle Insert.3.\tIntravaginal administration of Eazi-Breed CIDR Cattle Insert for periods greater than 7 days may result in reduced fertility.
