DESCRIPTION: ULTRABAC 7 consists of killed standardized cultures of Clostridium chauvoei, Cl. septicum, Cl. novyi, Cl. sordellii and Cl. perfringens types C and D. This product contains an adjuvant to enhance the immune response.
ADVANTAGES: Ultrabac 7 - Key Features \tHelps prevent diseases caused by various types of Clostridium bacteria, which continue to be of major economic importance in cattle. Clostridial agents cannot be eradicated, because they are universally present in soil and the intestinal tract of cattle. They produce potent toxins that can result in death of otherwise healthy animals, often with great speed. ULTRABAC 7 provides effective, convenient protection against the following key clostridial diseases:\tblackleg -Cl. chauvoei \tmalignant edema - Cl. septicum \tblack disease - Cl. novyi \tgas-gangrene - Cl. sordellii \tenterotoxemia, enteritis -Cl. perfringens types B, C, and D\tHighly syringeable-mixes easily even in cold weather.
DIRECTIONS: Ultrabac 7 - Dosage and Administration Shake well. Aseptically administer 5 mL subcutaneously, followed by a second dose 4-6 weeks later. In accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines, this product should be administered subcutaneously (SC) under the skin. For Cl. haemolyticum, repeat the dose every 5-6 months in animals subject to re-exposure. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
PRECAUTIONS: Ultrabac 7: Store at 2-7 C. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. As with many vaccines, anaphylaxis may occur after use. Initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy. For veterinary use only.
