DESCRIPTION: Solo-Jec-7™ vaccine is a combination of antigenic, \nattenuated strains of Canine Distemper, Canine Parainfluenza, Canine \nHepatitis and Parvovirus propagated in cell line tissue cultures. The liquid \ndiluent is Parvovirus Vaccine-Leptospira canicola-icterohaemorrhagiae \nBacterin. The CD Virus fraction has been proven safe and non-shedding \nwhen injected into susceptible dogs. The infectious Canine Hepatitis \n(CAV-1) fraction cross protects against respiratory disease caused by \nCAV-2. \n
INDICATIONS: For the vaccination of healthy, susceptible dogs against \ndisease caused by canine distemper, hepatitis (canine adenovirus type 1), \ncanine adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza, parvovirus, Leptospira canicola \nand Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae. \n
DIRECTIONS: The dry distemper-Hepatitis-Parainfluenza Vaccine is \nrehydrated with 1 ml of liquid Parvovirus Vaccine-Leptospira canicola-\nicterohaemorrhagiae Bacterin. Shake well and use entire contents when \nfirst opened. \n
INSTRUCTIONS: Read the carton information carefully. Always use \ncare when handling the dog and provide proper restraint when vaccinating. \nPrepare the vaccine by injecting the liquid diluent into the vial containing \nthe vaccine cake. Shake well. Remove the entire contents back into the \nsyringe. Push out air trapped in the syringe. To give subcutaneously, \ninject under loose skin (back of neck or behind front leg) or to give IM, \ninject into the muscle of the hind limb. (Illustration on box shows \nadministration sites.) Do not vaccinate into blood vessels. If blood enters \nthe syringe freely or when the plunger is pulled back slightly, choose \nanother injection site. \n
DOSAGE: Using aseptic technique, inject 1 mL intramuscularly or \nsubcutaneously. Repeat dosage in 3 to 4 weeks. Annual revaccination \nwith a single dose is recommended. Puppies vaccinated before 9 weeks of \nage should be revaccinated at 3 to 4 week intervals until 14 to 16 weeks of \nage. Regardless of age all dogs should receive 2 doses of vaccine in order \nto insure adequate levels of immunity against canine parainfluenza and \nparvovirus. \n
PRECAUTIONS: Store out of direct sunlight at a temperature between \n35-45 degrees F (2-7 degrees C). Avoid freezing. Do not vaccinate \npregnant animals. Burn containers and all unused contents. Under no \ncircumstances is this product recommended for use in ferrets or mink. An \noccasional transitory corneal opacity may occur following administration \nof the vaccine. This will disappear without untoward effect on the animal. \nProtective immunity may not be established in all puppies vaccinated at \nless than 16 weeks of age because of maternal antibody interference. \nAnaphylactoid reactions may occur. \n
ANTIDOTE: Epinephrine. \n
PRESERVATIVES: Gentamicin and a fungistat. \n
