UAAGEL300-Universal Animal Antidote Gel-Super Adsorbent Formula
DESCRIPTION: Combines the adsorbent properties of activated hardwood charcoal and thermally processed attapulgite clay to give a highly effective adsorbent suspension that is quick acting and simple to use. UAA Gel is recommended for emergency first aid of oral poisoning in both large and small animals. UAA Gel disperses rapidly in the gastric and intestinal tracts, adsorbing poisons and toxins quickly. Comes in a plastic tube, 12 inches long from cap on tip to base, 1 1/2 inches wide. (like tube of caulk) will fit in Probios Bovine Paste Gun. Should fit some standard caulking guns.
INGREDIENTS: Activated hardwood charcoal 100 mg/ml, thermally activated attapulgite clay 200 mg/ml, inert ingredients: water,(gel)
INDICATIONS: In cases of poisoning from grain overload,ingesting such toxic substances as pesticides (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides), organic chemicals and intestinal toxins (bacterial origin). UAA Gel is an effective adsorbent suspension to be used as an initial and/or adjunctive treatment.
CAUTION: UAA Gel may not be effective against such poisons as lead, mercury, inorganic arsenic, or other heavy metals, methyl and ethyl alcohol, fertilizer, or sodium chloride or chlorate (NaCi:NaCIO3). Do not administer anything orally if the toxic agent is a caustic, such as lye or acid.
RECOMMENDED ORAL DOSE: If animal is conscious and able to swallow; dose orally (by mouth) at a rate of 1 to 3 ml/kg (2.2 lbs) of body weight. If indicated or necessary, repeat dosage after 1 to 4 hours, or until the symptoms subside. For cattle and horses, it is recommended that the entire contents of 1 tube (300 ml) be given. Proper supportive therapies such as parenteral fluids and injectable antidotes (to counteract the physiological effects of the poison) are recommended as a part of the treatment. NOTE- For veterinary use only. Shake well before using. Keep out of the reach of children. Protect from freezing.
